As funding uncertainties and executive actions jeopardize the stability of families and communities, NLADA is sounding the alarm and mobilizing action.
The equal justice community has been heavily impacted by the substantial federal funding cuts and the challenges to the rule of law. To respond to these threats to equal justice, NLADA is launching a critical federal advocacy campaign: JustFundIt! The JustFundIt campaign seeks to educate both the public and Congress about the critical importance of federal funding for essential legal and community-based services that ensure access to justice for individuals who cannot afford counsel. As federal funding wavers and state systems face growing instability, communities across the country are experiencing the consequences: eviction without defense, denied benefits, unrepresented survivors, and overwhelmed defenders.
