NLADA is partnering with the Missouri Office of the State Public Defender to bring this renowned
appellate skills program April 23-26, 2024.
The 2024 National Appellate Defender Training (ADT) offers an intensive four-day learning experience. ADT is designed specifically for attorneys who represent indigent defendants in criminal and delinquency appeals in the state and federal court systems. This national skills training brings together court and appellate public defenders at the state and federal levels, assigned counsel, contract defenders, and Criminal Justice Act private attorneys for a multi-day program.

- Developing a Theory and Brainstorming your Case
- Storytelling
- Litigating Racial Injustice
- Persuasive Brief Writing
- Creating an Editing and Review Process
- Developing Balance and Well-Being in your Practice
- Oral Advocacy

Program Fee: $800 for NLADA Members; $900 for Non-Members
Payment arrangements and Hotel Information will be sent to registrants upon acceptance into the program.
CLE Reporting Information
NLADA (National Legal Aid & Defender Association) will diligently report attendance to the highlighted states. Course IDs will be added on a rolling basis as approvals are received.
